strangerly.in is designed to be private by default. You can start chatting without creating an account, and we keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the Service.
Anonymous by design
No sign-up is required. We use an anonymous identifier to connect you to a match and to enforce safety actions like blocking. Your chats are not saved to a personal profile.
Camera, microphone & AI verification
Video and voice chat use your device's camera and microphone, streamed peer-to-peer to the person you're matched with. AI gender verification and liveness checks run on your device; only a verified result is used — your raw camera feed is not uploaded to us for verification.
What we may process
- An anonymous user/session identifier and presence (online/offline) state.
- Live chat messages for the duration of a session, to deliver them to your match.
- Reports you submit, to keep the community safe.
- Basic analytics (e.g. page views) to improve the Service.
- Payment information, processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card details.
Third-party services
We use Firebase (Google) for real-time connectivity and Stripe for payments. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
Your choices
