Safety & Community Guidelines

strangerly.in connects you with random strangers for text, voice, and video chat. To keep the community welcoming and respectful, everyone agrees to these guidelines. Breaking them can get you blocked or banned.

You must be 18 or older

strangerly is strictly for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. If you appear underage you may be removed, and other users can report accounts that appear to belong to minors.

Be kind and respectful

• No harassment, hate speech, threats, or bullying.
• No nudity, sexual content, or sexual solicitation.
• No violence, self-harm content, or illegal activity.
• No spam, scams, advertising, or sharing others' private information.

Strangerly Space & screen sharing

Strangerly Space lets you pair a bigger screen (laptop, TV, tablet, or another phone) to your call to watch together or share a screen. Because you're sharing with a stranger, please use it carefully:

• Don't share sensitive content — no passwords, banking or payment details, personal documents, or anything you wouldn't want a stranger to see.
• Keep it respectful and legal — no explicit, hateful, violent, or copyrighted material on the shared screen.
• You control what's shared — only what you choose appears on the other screen; stop sharing at any time, and the Space disconnects when the call ends.
• Buzz is just for fun — the premium press-and-hold vibrate is a playful nudge, not a substitute for asking or communicating clearly.
• Report & block still apply — if someone shares something abusive, report them; the usual safety tools work the same here.

How we keep chats safer

• Moderation: conversations are moderated and abusive behaviour is actioned.
• AI gender verification: matches are verified by on-device AI liveness.
• Report & block: tap the flag icon to report or block anyone instantly. Reports are anonymous.
• Audit trail: meetings and reports are logged server-side with the IP and device of those involved, for up to 90 days, so we can investigate and action abuse.

Reporting someone

If someone makes you uncomfortable, use the report button during the chat, choose a reason, and optionally block them so you won't be matched again. We review reports and take action on accounts that violate these guidelines. Each report is logged with the reporter's IP and device details to help us act on abuse and prevent misuse of the reporting tool.

strangerly requires no sign-up and does not keep your chats on a profile. See our Privacy Policy for details on what is and isn't collected.
